Pioneer Week & our Weekend Projects

Here is a little glimpse of what we did this past week. Reese isn't in any of the pictures because he was studying for Part II of a test to get more licenses for work. His test was Friday and he passed with flying colors! Congratulations Reese! So here is a glimpse of what Mason and I did this week.

So once Friday came along Reese headed down to Salt Lake to take his licensing test. When he got back he pulled out the whip and put Mason and I to work. Well, he put me to work, Mason took a nap. Friday, we started framing walls in the basement for another bedroom. Saturday, Reese used a tiller and I used a rake to clear out our side yard to make it into a walking path. Sizzlin Saturday

Well, our Saturday was a little busy and full of good times. Reese and I started out the morning with a mini triathlon at the Sports Academy. We started out with a 150 meter swim then hopped on our bikes and biked a total of 5 miles. Then we started to run our 1.5 miles. Reese and I did well in our first competition in two years. Reese actually took 1st place with a time of 27:11. Pretty good for no training. I, however, got 3rd overall with a time of 30:03. It was sweet! We even got little medals. I'm sorry we didn't get any pictures. Our camera battery was dead.

As a reward for our awesome racing abilities, we headed up to Bear Lake for the rest of the day with some friends. This time we had Reese's parents' Jet Skis. (Thanks for that, Randy and Win). Mason loves the Jet Skis. He just sits back while he has one hand to steer. And again, he loved the sand and the water.

Summer Pics

We found the camera! It turns out it was one of the first things that we unpacked so that we could take pictures. Where was it you ask? On top of the fridge! Ugh! So anyway, here are some pictures of the landing Reese and I put together on Saturday and a slide show of some summer fun that we have been having. Enjoy!

We're In!!

Well, we are officially moved in. We moved in all of our things last weekend with the help of the Schroeder Clan and our neighbor Bryan and Jess watched Mason, but now we are officially in because our house is clean, we have already started home improvement projects, and we have the internet!

That's right, we have already started little projects around the house. Today, Reese and I laid a little landing of stones from the front yard to the back. Mason helped. It looks pretty good and I would post pictures for all of you to see but I have no idea where the camera is. I know I packed it but where? WHERE!?! I'll find it in the last box I unpack I just know it. Since there are no pictures to show you, just close your eyes and imagine a quaint, little rock landing at the side of our house. Now this will be easier for those of you who have actually seen our house and for those of you who have not, come on over! We'd love to have you! You can help us paint :)

So Much Stuff!!

You really don't know how much stuff you have until you have to pack it all up! That is our project this week at the Hulbert house...we are packing and moving! We will be moving back into our house this Saturday, yay. It is only a few blocks South of where we are living now but it's still a pain to get everything boxed just to move it a stone's throw away and then unpack it.

So far, we have only packed the things that we only use maybe once a month and those boxes alone almost fill our extra bedroom. I would post pictures of our boxes but everyone knows what a big brown box looks like. So I thought I would put some pictures of Mason along with this post. Enjoy!
