Our Christmas Celebration

Thank you to everyone who helped make our Christmas Celebrations so great! We love all of you and can't wait for the new year to begin. Hopefully it will be a good one filled with new challenges, yes I said challenges to make us stronger, new friends, to add to the outstanding ones we now cherish dearly, and new experiences to help us gain knowledge and understanding of the world around us.

I hope that you have a very happy New Year and don't be a stranger in the new year. Stay close and we will try to keep in touch as much as possible.

Cruisin!

So, Reese and I packed up and left for a 7-Day Cruise to the Western Caribbean. We left from Miami and went to Cozumel Mexico, Grand Cayman, and Jamaica. It was awesome and we both loved it! Mason also had a blast staying in Utah with the Grandparents. (Thanks again you guys!)

Since we just got back Saturday night I don't have all the pictures accessible just yet. But here is a slide show of most of our trip. We had one underwater camera that we filled up with pictures so once I get those developed I'll post those ones as well.

Christmas, Christmas Time is Here!!

The three of us spent Thanksgiving weekend up in the Boise, Idaho area, Kuna to be exact, with Reese's family. It was great and we had a lot of fun!

Well, we returned home Sunday night to a non-Christmas decorated house. What would you do in a situation like that? Most people would go to bed and decorate the next day while their son took his nap. Not us though...we did it that night!! Reese and I finally made it to bed at about 1:00 a.m. Since Mason was asleep during the setup, the look on his face the next morning was priceless! He acted as though it was Christmas morning!

Here are some pics of when we turned the lights on for the first time. Again, it was a huge hit and Mason ran around like a crazy because he was not able to hold in his excitement.

Beginning of November

Two New Nieces

On October 16th little Mckaylee was born. She is the third Schroeder grandchild and as you can see is a doll.

Then this last Friday, November 7th, Gillian Gray Hulbert was born. She is the 7th Hulbert grandchild.

Leukemia Lymphoma Marathon

I know this looks long but PLEASE READ:

Family and Friends, my mom, Janice and my sister Sara are running a Marathon in January for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. This is a big deal because neither my mom nor my sister have ever been into running. So as you have guessed, this will be their first marathon ever!

They will be running to help raise awareness and money for Leukemia Lymphoma. My darling Aunt Karen lost her fight against this type of cancer about 5 years ago. My mom and Sara are asking all of their friends and family to donate to this great cause and I am asking all my family and friends to help in their cause.

They have a goal to meet by November 14th and will be running the 26.2 miles in January. Your willingness to donate would be appreciated. Remember that any donation is tax deductible and you will be sent a receipt for your records.

Halloween Day!!

Here is a little taste of what we did on Halloween...

First, Mason got dressed in his Gorilla costume and we went over to ours friend's house to meet up for trick-or-treating downtown to all the Main Street businesses.
I put Mason in the stroller because I thought it would be easier to manage him. Once he realized that people were just giving him candy he got really excited! He ate quite a bit of candy...he would probably say that he did not get enough but it sure was more than I would have liked him to have. But when you take an excited 18-month-old boy, get him around friends, and get him on a sugar rush...he has to stop sometime. We only went about 2 blocks before Mason CRASHED!!

At least we didn't have to pick up any more candy.

So what does a husband do when he receives a call from his wife a half hour before leaving to the Halloween party informing him of a change in costume? A GOOD one straps on those tights, hikes up that skirt, and CHEERS!!

What's more fun than friends and leaves?!

Mason and some of his friends had a grand ole' time playing in a ginormous pile of leaves on Monday. The leaves would all get raked into a pile and then all the kids would run and jump/flop onto the pile. It provided all the watching moms some great entertainment!
